Personality
Personality
Juria is aggressive, obedient to his mother, and deeply committed to the Kitou Family's traditions. Like his brothers, he treats outsiders who interfere with the family's affairs as enemies and readily resorts to violence.
He displays little hesitation about the sacrifices demanded by the family's arrangement with the creature they worship as the Tsuchinoko. The custom has been normalized within the clan to such an extent that Juria participates without the moral reservations shown by the protagonists.
His loyalty is strongly collective. Juria rarely operates independently; he fights as part of the family and follows Naki's leadership, reinforcing the Kitous' tendency to confront threats as a single unit.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Juria is a Subterranean rather than an ordinary human. Members of the Kitou Family possess considerable physical ability, and Juria participates directly in close-quarters combat against supernatural opponents.
He relies primarily on strength and hand-to-hand fighting. Alongside his brothers, he can overwhelm opponents through coordinated attacks and is physically capable enough to challenge Momo's group despite their experience with paranormal threats.
The Kitous also conceal their nonhuman nature behind human appearances, allowing their family to live within Byakuja Village and operate as landlords without openly revealing themselves as UMA.
Story Role
Story Role
Juria enters the Cursed House Arc as one of the Kitou Family members monitoring Jiji's home. The family has maintained control of the property and surrounding village while secretly continuing a cycle of human sacrifice intended to placate the giant creature beneath the mountain.
He and his brothers confront Momo at the hot springs and later participate in the assault on Jiji and Ken Takakura. When Momo returns, Juria joins the family in fighting her before Naki drives her toward the underground chamber.
The protagonists eventually discover that the Kitous are Subterraneans and that the family's supposed Tsuchinoko is the enormous Mongolian Death Worm beneath the village. The family is swallowed by the creature but subsequently emerges from it.
Juria later returns with the Kitou Family during the Typhoon Human Arc, when the clan once again becomes involved with Momo and her allies.

Momo Ayase becomes one of Juria's enemies when she investigates the family's activities and fights back against their attacks.
Jin Enjouji lives in the sacrificial house controlled by the Kitous, placing him directly within the family's plans.
Ken Takakura opposes Juria and the rest of the family while investigating the supernatural phenomena surrounding Jiji's home.
