Personality
Personality
Juichi is suspicious, violent, and intensely loyal to the Kitou Family. He participates in the clan's intimidation of outsiders and regards the family's traditions as more important than the welfare of people selected as sacrifices.
He is capable of questioning inconsistencies rather than simply attacking immediately. When Jiji and Okarun attempt to conceal Momo's presence, Juichi participates in testing their story before the family turns violent.
Like his relatives, he becomes highly emotional when the creature they worship is threatened. Their reverence for the supposed Tsuchinoko is deeply embedded in the family's identity.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Juichi is a Subterranean classified as an UMA. He can maintain a humanlike appearance while living openly within the village.
He is an accomplished hand-to-hand combatant with considerable physical strength. During the Kitous' later confrontation with Momo's expanded group, Juichi is capable of gaining the advantage over Raiya Kazama in direct combat.
Juichi typically fights without specialized weapons or named supernatural techniques. His strength lies in close combat and coordination with other members of his family.
Story Role
Story Role
Juichi is among the first Kitou Family members encountered around Jiji's new home. He participates in monitoring the visitors and becomes openly hostile when they interfere with the family's arrangements.
The confrontation eventually exposes the secret chamber beneath the house and the enormous creature associated with the village's sacrificial tradition.
Juichi and his relatives are revealed as Subterraneans who have spent generations feeding humans to the Mongolian Death Worm. After the creature's defeat and the exposure of the family's crimes, Juichi and several relatives are taken into custody.
Naki later helps Juichi, Juhiko, and Jumanuel escape. They pursue Momo and Jiji onto a flight during the Typhoon Human Arc, where their attempt at revenge collides with a much larger supernatural disaster.
The resulting crisis forces the Kitous to fight for survival alongside people they had intended to attack, demonstrating that their physical abilities remain formidable even outside the village environment.
