Synopsis
After Kotaro Katsura disappears following an attack by a mysterious swordsman, Elizabeth asks the Yorozuya to investigate. While Kagura and Shinpachi Shimura search for Katsura, Gintoki Sakata is hired to recover Benizakura, a stolen sword connected to a series of violent incidents.
Known in Japan as Gintama: A New Retelling Benizakura Arc, the film reanimates and expands the television series’ Benizakura storyline. Its widescreen presentation, revised action sequences, and greater involvement for supporting characters turn one of the franchise’s earliest serious arcs into a theatrical feature.
