Synopsis
Gintoki Sakata, Kagura, and Shinpachi Shimura return for a collection of comic misadventures involving an alarming prospective boyfriend, sentient swords, rival idols, video games, and supernatural guardian spirits. The stories restore the episodic absurdity and ensemble comedy that defined much of the franchise’s earlier run.
Also known as Gintama. Porori-hen, the cour adapts manga material that the television series had previously skipped before entering the Shogun Assassination Arc. Although broadcast after the Rakuyou storyline, its stories generally occur earlier in the narrative chronology.
