Yoshiaru Ueda

Ueda receives very little individual characterization. His principal defining element is his association with the group responsible for sexually assaulting Ayaka before their arrival in Gantz.

Nothing establishes remorse or meaningful separation from the other perpetrators during his brief time with the Tokyo team.

Ueda has no established supernatural abilities or specialized combat training.

As a Gantz participant, he has access to the standard suit and weapons. His limited appearance does not provide enough evidence to establish a distinctive fighting style or level of proficiency.

Ueda enters the Ring Alien mission with Ayaka and the other new participants. He survives the hunt itself, during which Kurono attempts to guide the enlarged team and prevent unnecessary casualties.

Ueda is inadvertently captured in a photograph taken by Tae while Gantz's concealment is compromised. The system treats the exposure as a violation and kills him through the implanted bomb, making him the only member missing when the team is scored after the mission.

His disappearance precedes Gantz identifying Tae herself as the next target.

Ayaka Uranaka is Ueda's victim and enters the Gantz system with him and the other perpetrators.

Joji Tomioka, Ryotarou Haga, Kaoru Iwamoto and Naoichi Mikawa are the other men associated with the assault.

Tae Kojima unknowingly photographs Ueda during the mission, triggering the Gantz secrecy mechanism that eliminates him.
