Vermouth

Vermouth is intelligent, manipulative, theatrical, and remarkably self-assured. She is comfortable constructing elaborate deceptions over long periods and can maintain a false identity even while interacting closely with investigators.

Her morality is deliberately contradictory. Vermouth can murder, blackmail, and manipulate innocent people without hesitation, yet she is capable of protecting particular individuals even when doing so conflicts with the Organization's interests.

She also enjoys mystery and secrecy. Her repeated phrase "A secret makes a woman woman" reflects a personality built around controlling what other people know about her.

Vermouth is an extraordinary disguise artist capable of changing her apparent age, sex, voice, and physical identity. She learned disguise techniques from Toichi Kuroba and can impersonate people convincingly enough to deceive acquaintances at close range.

She is also an experienced assassin, marksman, motorcyclist, infiltrator, and intelligence operative. Vermouth excels at psychological manipulation and can build plans around predicting how specific targets will react.

Her appearance has remained mysteriously youthful for an abnormally long period, a phenomenon connected to one of the series' unresolved mysteries surrounding the Organization and its research.

Vermouth initially enters the story through the entertainment world before becoming central to a prolonged storyline involving the Black Organization and FBI. Her ability to impersonate other people allows the narrative to conceal both her location and objectives.

Vermouth is revealed to be both Sharon Vineyard and Sharon's supposed daughter Chris Vineyard, having maintained multiple identities through disguise. She infiltrates Ran's social circle while hunting the escaped Organization scientist Sherry.

Despite having opportunities to expose Conan and Haibara, Vermouth conceals crucial information from the Organization. Her decision is strongly influenced by an earlier encounter in New York in which Shinichi and Ran saved her life while she was disguised as a serial killer.
