Sol

Sol is theatrical, superficially polite, and fond of French expressions such as "monsieur," "mademoiselle," and repeated cries of "non." He expects opponents to address him with exaggerated courtesy and presents himself as a refined gentleman.

That manner conceals a cruel personality. Sol studies Fairy Tail's members carefully and deliberately weaponizes personal information against them, believing psychological distraction is just as useful as magical force.

His courage also has clear limits. When the situation turns decisively against him, Sol's arrogance collapses quickly and he becomes willing to flatter or plead with an opponent rather than continue suffering.

Sol specializes in Earth Magic. He can generate and manipulate rock, soil, plaster, and sand for attacks with names styled after musical forms and French geological terms.

Earth Form lets him merge his body with the ground, travel beneath the surface, and reshape himself with unusual flexibility. His earth-like body can stretch and coil around opponents, making conventional physical attacks difficult to use against him.

Roche Concerto bombards an enemy with large rocks, while other techniques manipulate sand and plaster to restrict movement or disorient opponents.

Sol also uses a magical monocle whose exact mechanics are not fully explained. It assists him in identifying targets and appears connected to his remarkable knowledge of Fairy Tail members.

Sol first appears during Phantom Lord's war against Fairy Tail. Together with Juvia Lockser, he is assigned to abduct Lucy Heartfilia, whose family connection is central to Jose's immediate objective.

Juvia traps Lucy in Water Lock, allowing the pair to deliver her to Phantom Lord.

Sol later confronts Elfman Strauss inside Phantom Lord's mobile headquarters. He knows about Elfman's inability to perform a full-body Take Over and deliberately describes the accident involving Lisanna Strauss to destabilize him.

Instead of breaking Elfman completely, the provocation helps push him toward overcoming the trauma restraining his Beast Soul. Elfman completes a full-body Take Over and defeats Sol.

Jose Porla is Sol's guild master and commands the Element 4 during the war against Fairy Tail.

Aria, Juvia Lockser, and Totomaru are Sol's fellow Element 4 members.

Lucy Heartfilia is abducted by Sol and Juvia on Jose's orders.

Elfman Strauss becomes Sol's principal opponent during the guild war. Sol attempts to exploit Elfman's trauma but is defeated after Elfman regains full-body Take Over.

Lisanna Strauss is not personally connected to Sol, but he uses the story of her apparent death specifically to torment Elfman during their battle.
