Sachi presents herself as responsible and long-suffering, contrasting sharply with the reputation surrounding her younger brother. She maintains the pub inherited from their parents and appears to endure his demands for money despite his involvement with dangerous people.
She is also considerably more cunning than this first impression suggests. Sachi can maintain a convincing performance even while police and Jouishishi are watching her, making deception rather than physical force her principal strength.
Her loyalty to her brother is genuine even when the story surrounding their relationship is deliberately misleading.

Sachi becomes the focus of a Shinsengumi surveillance operation after reports spread that her younger brother, Donbei Narasaki, has absconded with money belonging to a Jouishishi group.
The police believe Donbei will eventually seek assistance from his older sister, so they watch Sachi and her pub. Her apparent circumstances make her seem like an innocent relative being dragged into trouble by an irresponsible sibling.
Sachi and Donbei are actually cooperating in a scam against the Jouishishi. Their supposedly dysfunctional relationship is part of the deception, and the money dispute that brought the Shinsengumi to Nonbei was deliberately engineered by the siblings.
The story remains a relatively small episodic case rather than developing Sachi into a recurring participant in the larger Joui conflict.
