Nike Takeuchi

Nike is aggressive, obsessive and emotionally unstable. He possesses enormous confidence in his own power and responds to resistance with violence rather than negotiation.

His hatred of Kilik is especially intense. Nike blames him for events surrounding the destruction of the original Sleeping Forest and the suffering that followed, turning their conflict into something far more personal than competition between Gem Kings.

He also develops an unhealthy fixation on Simca. His jealousy toward Ikki and possessiveness toward her reveal how readily Nike treats other people as things to control.

Nike follows the Jade Road, which combines principles of the Wing Road and Gaia Road. He can manipulate the ground through vibration while also molding dense air, giving him control over both terrestrial and aerial space.

His Gem Regalia sends vibrations through surfaces and opposing Air Trecks. Infinite Tremor can interfere with an opponent's biorhythm and movement, while the Gaia-derived portion of his Road can tear debris from the ground and weaponize it.

Nike can create dense wind barriers and use Moon Drop principles to repel attacks around himself. His Jade Armor uses vibration to harden his body, clothing and surrounding air, producing an extremely durable defensive shell. He can further shape material into Jade Swords around his legs.

His unusual shoulder anatomy gives his arms an enormous range of motion, letting him extend techniques around his body without the conventional blind spots of similar defensive moves.

Nike enters the story as Genesis's Gem King and one of the organization's four Kings. His power immediately places him among the riders capable of confronting the strongest figures associated with Sleeping Forest and Kogarasumaru.

His possession of the Gem Regalia creates a direct connection to Kilik, its previous owner. Nike's Jade Road represents a distorted evolution of the Gaia Road, combining the earth-based Regalia with Wing Road principles.

Nike is eventually revealed as Sora Takeuchi's identical twin brother and partner in the hidden leadership of Genesis. "Nike" is an alias, while the brothers share the name Sora Takeuchi. Their control of Genesis predates Simca's attempt to place the organization under Ikki.

Together the brothers move openly against opponents who threaten their plan for the Sky Regalia. Nike fights Spitfire and Aeon Clock, attacks Simca, and later becomes one of the principal obstacles faced by the coalition aboard Genesis's aircraft carrier.

Sora Takeuchi is Nike's identical twin brother and partner in controlling Genesis. Nike's loyalty to him is central to his hatred of the people he believes deprived Sora of his rightful place.

Kilik is Nike's principal personal enemy. Nike takes the Gem Regalia from Kilik after the collapse of the original Sleeping Forest and spends years nursing hatred toward him.

Simca becomes the focus of Nike's obsessive attraction. He attacks her when her attempt to place Genesis behind Ikki conflicts with the Takeuchi brothers' plans.

Itsuki Minami becomes both a rival for Simca's attention and a major obstacle to Genesis's objectives.

Spitfire and Yasuyoshi Sano confront Nike and Sora after discovering the threat posed by their plans, leading to one of the decisive battles in the struggle over Genesis.

Ryō Mimasaka intervenes when Nike attacks Sano and suffers catastrophic injuries protecting him.
