M3

M3 is loyal, courageous and deeply devoted to his martial-arts master. Like his fellow students, he was raised under Mitamura's teachings and does not naturally possess the murderous disposition he displays while fighting for Team Ichigaki.

His willingness to surrender his own freedom demonstrates how highly he values his teacher's life. While controlled by Ichigaki's implanted organism, his consciousness remains aware of the violence his body is committing and desperately wants the fighting to stop.

After regaining control of himself, M3 shows remorse over what happened and gratitude toward the people who recognized that he and his companions were victims rather than willing killers.

M3 is an accomplished martial artist whose physical abilities are further enhanced by Ichigaki's experimentation. He combines conventional martial arts with concentrated spiritual energy.

His primary technique focuses energy around one or both hands before delivering a powerful palm thrust. Known as the Hound Claw in some translations and the Grizzly Claw in the English anime, the attack produces tremendous impact and can damage an opponent internally.

He also coordinates effectively with M1 and M2. Their shared training allows the three students to fight as a unit, making their combined assault considerably more dangerous than any of them fighting independently.

M3 and his fellow students seek medical treatment for Mitamura after their master becomes gravely ill. Ichigaki offers them a bargain: submit to his experiments and he will arrange the treatment they cannot otherwise afford.

Ichigaki instead implants organisms that override their bodies and compel them to fight for him. The three students' trapped consciousnesses manage to communicate their history to Kuwabara in a dream, revealing that they are unwilling participants.

Genkai eventually destroys the organisms controlling them without killing their hosts. After being freed, M3 offers to fight alongside Team Urameshi out of gratitude and remorse, but Yusuke tells the students to return to their teacher instead.

Mitamura is M3's teacher and the person whose illness leads him to accept Ichigaki's proposal.

Dr. Ichigaki deceives M3 and his companions, using them as controlled experimental fighters.

M1 and M2 are M3's fellow students and teammates, sharing both his training and his ordeal under Ichigaki.

Kazuma Kuwabara learns that the three fighters are being controlled and refuses to regard them as willing enemies.

Genkai removes the organisms controlling M3 and the other students.

Yusuke Urameshi fights Team Ichigaki and later declines M3's offer to join his team, encouraging him to return to Mitamura instead.

Kurama helps ensure that Mitamura receives the treatment the students originally sought.
