M1

M1 is fundamentally compassionate and disciplined rather than malicious. His martial training under Mitamura emphasizes character and respect for life.

His participation in Team Ichigaki therefore does not accurately represent his normal personality. Ichigaki's implanted device suppresses his free will, leaving his consciousness unable to prevent his body from attacking and killing opponents.

M1's willingness to sacrifice his freedom in exchange for treatment for his teacher demonstrates his loyalty to Mitamura.

M1 is a trained martial artist whose abilities are artificially enhanced while under Ichigaki's control.

His signature attack creates several circular blades of spiritual energy around his forearms. These rings can cut targets at close range or be launched as projectiles.

Some of the visible rings can function as deceptive images, making it more difficult for opponents to identify the true trajectory of the attack.

M1 also fights effectively alongside M2 and M3. Their shared training gives the trio excellent coordination.

M1 trains alongside M2 and M3 under Mitamura. When their master becomes seriously ill, Ichigaki offers to pay for his treatment if the three students agree to participate in his experiments.

Ichigaki instead implants devices that take control of their bodies and uses them as fighters. Their trapped consciousnesses manage to communicate their plight to Kuwabara through a dream, causing him to resist killing them during the tournament.

Genkai ultimately uses her spiritual technique to destroy Ichigaki's controlling organisms without killing the three students. Kurama ensures that Mitamura receives treatment, allowing teacher and students to reunite.

Mitamura is M1's martial-arts master and father figure. M1 agrees to Ichigaki's experiments because he believes doing so will save his teacher.

Dr. Ichigaki exploits M1's devotion to Mitamura and turns him into a controlled fighter.

M2 and M3 are M1's fellow students and teammates.

Kazuma Kuwabara realizes that M1 and his companions are unwilling victims and refuses to treat them as ordinary enemies.

Genkai frees M1 and his companions from Ichigaki's control.

Kurama helps ensure Mitamura receives the medical treatment that Ichigaki had promised.

Yusuke Urameshi fights M1's group during the Dark Tournament and later gains their support.
