Hidehiko Kazama

Kazama is professional and comparatively relaxed about his connection to Moriya. He openly acknowledges having studied under the infamous architect without showing the same extreme fixation on symmetry that defined his teacher.

He cooperates with the investigation when the police question the people associated with the Twin Towers. Although his access to the complex makes him a suspect, he does not display the obsessive behavior that initially causes Conan to view his connection to Moriya with caution.

Kazama is also a father and has a young son, giving him a personal life outside his architectural career.

Kazama is an accomplished architect capable of designing an enormous twin-tower complex with sophisticated structural and technical requirements.

His architectural knowledge includes high-rise planning, building systems, circulation, and the practical requirements of connecting two large towers. Unlike Moriya, Kazama is willing to work with asymmetrical designs.

He has no established combat abilities or investigative training.

Kazama meets Conan's group during their visit to the nearly completed Nishitama Twin Towers. His admission that he studied under Moriya immediately catches Conan's attention because of Moriya's previous bombing campaign.

After Oki is murdered, Kazama becomes a suspect because only a limited number of people connected to the unopened building could access the victim's room. Subsequent murders keep him within the shrinking suspect pool.

Conan eventually determines that Kazama is not responsible. Hosui Kisaragi committed the connected murders because the Twin Towers obstructed his cherished view of Mount Fuji.

Teiji Moriya is Kazama's former architectural teacher. Kazama makes clear that he does not share Teiji Moriya's obsessive devotion to symmetry.

Mio Tokiwa commissions the Twin Towers through the Tokiwa Group, making her one of the central professional figures connected to Kazama's project.

Chinami Sawaguchi, Yoshiaki Hara, and Hosui Kisaragi are among the other people associated with the building who are questioned during the murder investigation.

Conan Edogawa initially pays particular attention to Kazama because of his connection to Moriya.
