Eri Kisaki

Eri is intelligent, disciplined, confident, and highly demanding. Her courtroom reputation reflects both her legal skill and her unwillingness to be intimidated by opponents. She applies the same analytical mindset outside work and often notices inconsistencies in criminal cases before the police do.

Her relationship with Kogorou exposes a more emotional side. Eri openly criticizes his drinking, gambling, laziness, and interest in other women, yet continues wearing her wedding ring and reacts strongly when circumstances suggest that he may genuinely care about someone else.

Eri is deeply protective of Ran and maintains a close relationship with her despite living separately. She can also be severe toward Shinichi Kudo, whom she has known since childhood, particularly when she believes he is behaving irresponsibly.

Eri is an accomplished lawyer with exceptional reasoning, memory, and attention to detail. Her courtroom record has earned her the title "Queen of the Courtroom," and her deductions during murder investigations demonstrate abilities approaching those of professional detectives.

She achieved outstanding academic results when young and was already regarded as exceptionally gifted during her school years. Her legal expertise includes evidence analysis, witness examination, and quickly identifying contradictions in testimony.

Eri is also proficient in judo, having learned from Kogorou. Her preferred techniques allow her to throw substantially larger attackers and defend herself effectively during physical confrontations.

Eri first appears when Ran secretly arranges to meet her at a café. Conan initially misunderstands the meeting before discovering that the formidable lawyer is Ran's mother and Kogorou's estranged wife.

She subsequently becomes a recurring participant in cases connected to her legal work, clients, acquaintances, and family. Unlike many civilians around Conan, Eri is capable of conducting substantial portions of an investigation herself and occasionally reaches important deductions before he does.

Her continuing separation from Kogorou provides a long-running personal storyline. Both repeatedly show that their feelings remain strong, but pride, misunderstandings, and Kogorou's behavior prevent a straightforward reconciliation.

Kogorou Mouri is Eri's husband. They have lived separately for years, but Eri still loves Kogorou Mouri despite constantly criticizing his habits and behavior.

Ran Mouri is Eri's daughter. Eri remains close to Ran Mouri, who repeatedly hopes that her parents will reconcile.

Shinichi Kudo has known Eri since childhood through his friendship with Ran. Eri is familiar enough with Shinichi Kudo to scold him much as she would a member of her own family.

Yukiko Kudo is Eri's longtime friend and former schoolmate. The two were famous at Teitan High School for their beauty and competed for the title of "Miss Teitan."

Conan Edogawa frequently becomes involved in cases surrounding Eri. [Although Eri does not know that Conan Edogawa is Shinichi, his reasoning repeatedly assists investigations in which she participates.](#spoiler)

Goro is Eri's Russian Blue cat, named after Kogorou despite her insistence on maintaining emotional distance from her husband.
