Ellie is cheerful, enthusiastic and comfortable speaking to visitors about the Hyper Linear. Her self-proclaimed "idol" title reflects her playful personality rather than an official position within the project.

Her introductory wordplay about her own name further establishes her as sociable and humorous. She approaches the advanced train with genuine excitement and helps make its technical operation accessible to people unfamiliar with the project.

Despite the dangerous incidents surrounding the World Sports Games, Ellie remains primarily a staff member rather than an investigator. She cooperates with the people responding to the crisis without attempting to insert herself into police or FBI work.

Ellie has no supernatural or combat abilities. Her expertise is connected to the Hyper Linear, the experimental high-speed transportation system being launched alongside the World Sports Games.

As a project staff member, she is familiar with the train and its operating environment. This knowledge allows her to explain aspects of the system and participate in preparations surrounding its highly publicized inaugural run.

Osamu Inoue is the chief engineer responsible for Hyper Linear development and works within the same project as Ellie. His role is more technically senior, while Ellie functions as a staff member and enthusiastic public representative.

Conan Edogawa encounters Ellie through the Hyper Linear project while investigating the kidnappings connected to the World Sports Games.

Hiroshi Agasa, Ai Haibara, Ayumi Yoshida, Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya and Genta Kojima also become involved with the Hyper Linear facilities as the World Sports Games celebrations unfold.
