Desscaras

Desscaras is proud, assertive and extraordinarily confident in her own strength. She knows that she is considered the strongest witch of her generation and rarely feels the need to pretend otherwise. Her tendency to act independently predates Team Desscaras and contributes to her reputation as a difficult person to work alongside.

She can be theatrical, competitive and surprisingly immature about matters that offend her pride. At the same time, she takes her responsibilities as a witch seriously and reacts fiercely when humans or fellow witches are endangered.

Ichi gradually exposes a more protective side of her personality. Desscaras begins by treating him as an unprecedented problem that must be supervised, but increasingly behaves as a genuine mentor responsible for teaching him both magic and how to function within the society he barely knows.

Desscaras possesses an enormous collection of acquired Majiks and is recognized as the strongest witch of her era. Rather than depending on a single magical ability, she can select from different acquired powers according to the situation and combine them through sophisticated spellcasting.

Her Majiks include Lazud, whose Piercer Magic produces devastating piercing attacks, and Iskandar, whose Fatal Shot Magic supports ranged attacks. Other acquired Majiks broaden her capabilities across restraint, movement, attack and specialized utility.

Desscaras is also capable of using advanced magical techniques and constructing complex magic circles. Her battle against the World-Hater Majik demonstrates that her reputation is based on combat ability rather than institutional status alone; she is among the rare witches able to directly contest an exceptionally dangerous Majik.

Desscaras enters the story while attempting to acquire Uroro. The King Majik's trial is designed so that women cannot directly stop his heart, placing even Desscaras in a situation where raw magical superiority cannot secure victory. Ichi intervenes and unexpectedly completes the trial himself.

She quickly recognizes the significance of a male human capable of acquiring Majiks. Desscaras brings Ichi to the Mantinel Witches Association and takes responsibility for his development, eventually leading a team consisting initially of herself, Ichi and Kumugi Harvest.

The team's mission expands beyond ordinary acquisition as Majiks hostile toward humanity become increasingly active. Desscaras's personal connection to the conflict is revealed through her history with the World-Hater Majik, whose actions took her younger brother Libro from her. After a prophecy predicts that Ichi will defeat the World-Hater but die in the process, Desscaras tricks Ichi into signing a mentor-pupil blood contract that binds their fates together.

Ichi is Desscaras's pupil and teammate. She begins by supervising him because of the unprecedented circumstances surrounding his acquisition of Uroro, but their relationship becomes increasingly familial. She binds their lives through a mentor-pupil blood contract after refusing to accept a prophecy in which Ichi sacrifices himself.

Kumugi Harvest serves on Desscaras's team as a witch cadet and researcher. Desscaras relies on her documentation and analytical abilities despite Kumugi's lack of confidence.

Uroro is the legendary King Majik Desscaras initially attempts to acquire. Ichi's intervention prevents her mission from ending as expected and permanently ties Uroro to Team Desscaras through him.

Gokuraku Kagami later joins Desscaras's unit as a Special Adjunct. His violent methods and unusual augmented body make him unconventional even by the standards of her team.

Shirabedonna is another high-ranking witch of the Mantinel Witches Association and Kumugi's superior in the Witches' Research Club.
