Uroro

Uroro is arrogant, cruel and openly contemptuous of humanity. He considers himself a king among Majiks and treats most humans as insignificant creatures. Even after his acquisition, he refuses to behave like a cooperative source of magic and regularly attempts to manipulate Ichi.

His pride is matched by considerable cunning. Uroro understands both Majiks and witches far better than his inexperienced contractor and tries to exploit Ichi's love of hunting by presenting dangerous situations as irresistible prey. His manipulation is less effective than he expects because Ichi's personal rules about killing are much stricter than Uroro's.

Despite his arrogance, Uroro is capable of recognizing genuine danger. His reaction to Han-Sekai no Mahou demonstrates that there are Majiks even the legendary King considers threatening.

Uroro's defining ability is Ultra Amplification, which raises a magical effect to an extreme level. When applied to another Majik's spell, even comparatively straightforward magic can become enormously destructive. Ichi's early use of the ability demonstrates that amplification does not require him to master the underlying magic beforehand.

The cost is severe. Using Uroro's amplification exhausts Ichi so completely that he typically falls unconscious for roughly three days afterward. Uroro himself can also be weakened by especially large applications of his power.

Uroro possesses unusual autonomy for an acquired Majik. He can take control of Ichi's body under certain circumstances, and the two later establish rules allowing Uroro limited periods of control. In Ichi's body, Uroro can combine his own knowledge with Ichi's acquired Majiks, demonstrating considerably greater magical sophistication than Ichi normally possesses.

Uroro's trial creates the central premise of Ichi's story. The trial requires someone to stop his heart, but women are prohibited from harming it. Because every known witch is female, Uroro has effectively constructed a trial that the established magical world considers impossible.

During Desscaras's confrontation with him on Druid Mountain, Ichi recognizes Uroro as a dangerous creature and attacks without understanding the significance of the trial. Because Ichi is male and possesses magical power, his strike satisfies the condition and results in Uroro's acquisition.

Uroro's connection to the World-Hater later becomes increasingly significant. He recognizes the Majik immediately and reacts with unusual caution, while Jikishirone's prophecy identifies the person who acquired Uroro—meaning Ichi—as the one possible future challenger capable of acquiring the World-Hater and preventing the destruction of the world.

Ichi is Uroro's contractor. Uroro initially regards him as an unworthy human who acquired him through an unforeseen loophole and repeatedly attempts to manipulate him, while Ichi treats the legendary Majik with remarkably little reverence.

Desscaras attempts to acquire Uroro before Ichi intervenes. Uroro's trial is specifically designed to prevent female witches such as Desscaras from stopping his heart.

Han-Sekai no Mahou is known to Uroro from before Ichi's involvement. Uroro's wariness toward the World-Hater stands out sharply against his usual confidence.
