Curaçao

Curaçao is initially presented as calm, focused, and exceptionally disciplined. During missions she acts decisively under pressure, whether stealing classified intelligence, evading law enforcement, or fighting trained opponents. Her demeanor reflects someone accustomed to dangerous covert work.

Her amnesia reveals a markedly different side of her. Without the memories connecting her to the Black Organization, Curaçao is friendly and protective toward the Detective Boys. She enjoys spending time with them and instinctively risks herself to keep them safe, suggesting that her colder behavior as an operative does not represent the entirety of her personality.

After recovering her memories, Curaçao does not simply revert to unquestioning loyalty. Her experiences with the children influence her decisions, and she chooses to protect them even after remembering her connection to the Organization.

Curaçao possesses an unusual memory ability associated with colors. She uses a set of five colored transparent cards to organize and retrieve information, allowing her to memorize sensitive data such as the codenames of undercover agents. Specific combinations of colored light can stimulate these stored memories. Although her ability is commonly described as a form of color-associated synesthesia, the film presents it primarily as an exceptional neurological memory mechanism.

She is also an elite physical operative. Curaçao demonstrates impressive strength, agility, reflexes, balance, and hand-to-hand combat ability, holding her own against Rei Furuya during her escape from the Public Security Bureau. She is an excellent driver and remains capable of controlling a vehicle during a high-speed pursuit involving Furuya and Shuichi Akai.

Her precision is similarly exceptional. Even while suffering from amnesia, she scores accurately while playing darts, helping Conan recognize that she is far more capable than an ordinary civilian. She also reacts quickly enough to save Genta Kojima from falling, further exposing her unusual physical training.

Curaçao infiltrates the National Police Agency's Security Bureau and accesses a classified list identifying undercover intelligence officers embedded within the Black Organization. After being discovered, she escapes and sends information concerning several suspected NOCs to the Organization. A high-speed pursuit involving Furuya and Akai ends with her vehicle crashing, after which she reaches Tohto Aquarium with severe amnesia.

Conan, Ayumi Yoshida, Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya, and Genta encounter her without knowing who she is. As they attempt to help recover her memories, Conan and Ai Haibara gradually recognize signs that the mysterious woman possesses unusual training and may be connected to the Black Organization.

Curaçao's memories return when the colored illumination surrounding the aquarium's Ferris wheel reproduces the pattern associated with her memory system. Although she remembers being Rum's operative, her bond with the Detective Boys leads her to reject the role the Organization expects her to resume. She also protects Bourbon and Kir by taking responsibility for a message declaring that they are not undercover agents.

When the Organization's attack destabilizes the Ferris wheel and threatens the aquarium, Curaçao commandeers a crane truck and uses it to stop the rolling wheel before it can crush the children and surrounding civilians. She is killed while stopping it, with the damaged white dolphin strap given to her by the Detective Boys remaining behind as a reminder of the choice she made.

Rum recognizes Curaçao's exceptional memory and makes her a trusted subordinate. [When Vermouth once intends to eliminate Curaçao because of dangerous information retained in her memory, Rum intervenes and makes Curaçao his right-hand operative instead.](#spoiler)

Vermouth has known Curaçao since before the events at Tohto Aquarium. [Although their history includes Vermouth nearly executing her, Curaçao later contacts Vermouth while distancing herself from the Organization's intentions.](#spoiler)

Conan Edogawa becomes involved with Curaçao after finding her at the aquarium. He quickly recognizes that her physical skills and memory responses indicate that she is not an ordinary amnesiac civilian.

Ayumi Yoshida, Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya, and Genta Kojima befriend Curaçao while she has amnesia. Her attachment to the three children survives the restoration of her memories and ultimately motivates her to risk her life protecting them.

Ai Haibara senses Curaçao's connection to the Black Organization before fully understanding who she is. Curaçao recognizes Haibara as Sherry after recovering her memories but chooses to save her rather than expose her to the Organization.

Rei Furuya confronts Curaçao during her escape after the theft of classified information. Although Curaçao initially identifies Bourbon as a suspected NOC, she later helps preserve his cover by supporting the message that Bourbon and Kir are clean.

Hidemi Hondou is endangered by the intelligence Curaçao steals. Curaçao's later decision helps prevent the Organization from executing Hidemi as the undercover operative Kir.

Shuichi Akai joins the pursuit of Curaçao during her initial escape and uses his marksmanship to bring her high-speed flight to an end.
