Inside this volume
As the search for Itachi Uchiha intensifies, Konoha's forces, Team Hebi, and Akatsuki close in from different directions. While Naruto Uzumaki hopes to save Sasuke, Sasuke remains focused solely on confronting the brother who destroyed his clan.
Meanwhile, Akatsuki attempts to capture the Three-Tails. The operation introduces a powerful Mist shinobi whose unusual techniques complicate the organization's mission and draw several Leaf ninja into battle.
Akatsuki begins capturing the Three-Tails while Deidara and Tobi face resistance from Guren, a kunoichi capable of manipulating crystal. The creature's immense power creates chaos across the battlefield as multiple groups attempt to control or seal it.
Elsewhere, Naruto's team follows Sasuke's trail, repeatedly arriving only after Hebi has already moved on. Sasuke defeats opponents who stand in his way but continues refusing unnecessary killing, revealing how differently he now approaches combat compared with Orochimaru.
As the pursuit narrows, Itachi quietly observes events from the shadows, allowing Sasuke to continue advancing toward their inevitable confrontation.
