The Shinuchi, regarded as the strongest of Kunishige’s enchanted blades, is scheduled for sale at the Rakuzaichi black-market auction. Determined to recover it, Chihiro enters a conflict with the powerful Sazanami family and the sorcerers protecting their centuries-old enterprise.
Chihiro and Sojo conclude their duel by compressing the enchanted blades’ power into a brief exchange of extreme speed. Chihiro prevails, but Sojo’s attempt to control processed Datenseki causes a catastrophic explosion. With Cloud Gouger recovered but damaged, Chihiro turns his attention to the Rakuzaichi, where the Shinuchi will be auctioned.
The investigation introduces Hakuri Sazanami, an estranged member of the family operating the auction. Chihiro also clashes with Kamunabi fighter Hiyuki Kagari, who has been ordered to confiscate Enten. After learning more about Hakuri and the auction’s human trafficking, Chihiro and Shiba confront clan head Kyora Sazanami, only to discover that the merchandise is hidden inside his supernatural Storehouse.
