Chihiro’s first duel with Sojo demonstrates Cloud Gouger’s overwhelming command of lightning, ice and water. Although Chihiro survives, Char is abducted and returned to Sojo’s laboratory, where researchers exploit her regenerative body to stabilize weapons made from Datenseki.

The Kamunabi forms an elite anti–Cloud Gouger unit and coordinates an assault on Sojo’s stronghold while Chihiro rescues Char. Sojo rapidly deepens his bond with Cloud Gouger, overwhelms the squad sent to defeat him and returns for a decisive rematch. Chihiro pushes Enten beyond its previous limits, setting his understanding of Kunishige’s ideals against Sojo’s belief that the enchanted blades exist solely for slaughter.
