Synopsis
In the divided nations of Westalis and Ostania, elite spy Twilight assumes the identity of psychiatrist Loid Forger for Operation Strix, a mission requiring him to approach reclusive politician Donovan Desmond. To create the necessary cover, Loid adopts telepathic orphan Anya Forger and enters a marriage of convenience with Yor Forger, secretly the assassin known as the Thorn Princess.
The first cour follows the Forgers through Anya's admission to Eden Academy, her early efforts to befriend Damian Desmond, and the family's attempts to appear convincingly ordinary. Combining espionage, action, school comedy, and domestic warmth, it establishes the central irony that each family member conceals an extraordinary identity from the others.
