Yuika

Yuika is outgoing and enthusiastic, fitting naturally among the highly social residents of Hanzawa's share house. She participates in the group's parties and treats their energetic lifestyle as perfectly ordinary despite Beika's constant murders and other crimes.

Like the rest of the group, Yuika represents a philosophy of enjoying the present rather than worrying endlessly about the city's dangers. This outlook initially seems absurd to Makoto Hanzawa, although even he occasionally recognizes the logic behind making the most of life in such an unpredictable place.

Yuika is an ordinary civilian. No martial-arts ability, detective expertise or other specialized power is established for her.

Her activities are primarily social. She participates in the party-centered lifestyle of the share-house residents, who organize and attend gatherings around Beika and treat social entertainment with unusual seriousness.

Yuika appears as part of the recurring ensemble surrounding Makoto Hanzawa after he begins living in Beika. The share-house residents give Hanzawa an immediate social circle, although their lifestyle often creates expenses and situations he would rather avoid.

She appears with the group during several of the anime's episodes, including their encounters with Beika's workplaces and entertainment. Her role remains comedic rather than plot-driving, with her presence helping establish the bizarre normality of life among the city's younger residents.

Makoto Hanzawa is Yuika's fellow share-house resident and reluctant participant in some of the group's social activities. His more anxious personality contrasts sharply with Yuika's party-oriented lifestyle.

Rika, Rikio, Shouta, Kenji, Nana, Anna and Oji are members of the same social group and share-house circle.
