Rikio

Rikio is cheerful, sociable and enthusiastic about partying. Like the other residents in his group, he appears remarkably untroubled by Beika's extreme crime rate and focuses instead on enjoying his life with friends.

The partygoers explain their outlook through the uncertainty of living in Beika: with danger seemingly everywhere, they see little reason to postpone enjoying themselves. Makoto Hanzawa often finds their behavior exhausting, particularly when participation costs him money, but can understand the underlying sentiment.

Rikio is an ordinary civilian with no established combat training, detective abilities or supernatural powers. His appearances center on social and comedic situations rather than action.

He participates in the share-house group's professional party activities. The residents are accustomed to attending and helping create gatherings, including events connected to the aftermath of Beika's many crimes.

Rikio becomes part of Makoto Hanzawa's everyday life after Hanzawa moves into communal housing in Beika. He appears repeatedly with the other residents during parties, employment-related situations and the increasingly strange events that Hanzawa encounters around town.

He also appears when Hanzawa's experiences intersect with established detectives and other figures from the wider Detective Conan cast. Rikio's function remains primarily comedic, presenting an ordinary resident who has adapted so thoroughly to Beika that the city's extraordinary dangers barely interfere with his social life.

Makoto Hanzawa is Rikio's fellow share-house resident. Rikio's cheerful party lifestyle repeatedly draws Makoto Hanzawa into social situations that the financially conscious newcomer would often prefer to avoid.

Rika, Yuika, Shouta, Kenji, Nana, Anna and Oji belong to Rikio's wider group of housemates and party-loving friends.
