Yoshi

Yoshi is aggressive, thrill-seeking and contemptuous of weakness. She has little interest in Kariya’s political justifications, following him chiefly because the invasion offers excitement.

Despite her cruelty, she can recognize a worthy opponent. Her final exchange with Uryuu expresses satisfaction rather than resentment over a battle she enjoyed.

Nieder consists of a jian-like sword and folding fan connected by an extendable chain. The sword personality supplies offensive armor and light blades, while the fan personality forms shields, spikes and defensive armor.

Yoshi can swing the connected halves like a flail and alternate their positions. The transition between offensive and defensive configurations briefly leaves an exploitable opening.

Yoshi participates in the Bount campaign and helps Mabashi overcome Danzoumaru at Seireitei’s northern gate. She later duels Uryuu after his Quincy abilities have been temporarily restored.

Uryuu studies Nieder’s transformations and fires through the opening created while the two halves exchange roles. Mortally wounded through the chest, Yoshi acknowledges that she enjoyed their battle before turning to ash.

Jin Kariya is Yoshi’s leader, though she follows him for battle rather than deep loyalty. Nieder is her dual-personality Doll.

Uryuu Ishida defeats Yoshi in her final fight. Mabashi joins her in defeating Danzoumaru at the northern gate.
