Nieder

Nieder’s two halves are talkative, proud and enthusiastic about Yoshi’s battles. The jian is aggressive and respects determined opponents, while the fan is more defensive but equally confident in her abilities.

They cooperate smoothly despite their different functions and frequently advise Yoshi during combat.

In its basic released state, Nieder’s jian and fan are connected by a variable-length chain. The sword cuts at close range or is swung as a chained weapon, while the fan blocks attacks and can launch spikes.

Nieder can fuse with Yoshi in two specialized configurations. The offensive form armors her sword arm and produces additional energy blades. The defensive form enlarges the fan and covers her other side with protective armor.

Yoshi cannot use both specialized functions simultaneously. Changing between them requires a return to the exposed intermediate form, creating a brief but decisive vulnerability.

Yoshi uses Nieder against Rukia Kuchiki, Orihime Inoue and Kurōdo before the Bount enter Soul Society.

During the battle with Uryū Ishida, Yoshi repeatedly alternates between Nieder’s offensive and defensive forms. Uryū deliberately appears weakened, then fires through the unprotected interval during a transformation. The shot kills Yoshi, and Nieder dies with her.

Yoshi is Nieder’s master and combat partner. The male jian and female fan are linked halves of the same Doll rather than two separate Dolls.

Uryū Ishida discovers the transformation weakness and defeats them. Rukia Kuchiki, Orihime Inoue and Kurōdo are earlier opponents.
