Danzoumaru

Danzoumaru is dutiful and willing to confront invaders despite their unfamiliar powers. The brevity of his appearance leaves his private temperament and history unexplored.

Unlike Jidanbou, he receives no substantial interaction with the main cast or individual character arc.

Danzoumaru’s enormous body supplies considerable physical strength appropriate to a Seireitei gatekeeper. He attempts to repel the Bount attack directly.

No Zanpakutō, Kidō or named technique is shown. His exact fighting ability remains unclear because Yoshi and Mabashi defeat him almost immediately.

Danzoumaru is assigned to the Kokuryoumon, the northern entrance also called the Black Ridge Gate. The position makes him one of four guardians controlling ground access to Seireitei.

During the Bount invasion, Yoshi and Mabashi attack and quickly incapacitate him, allowing the assault on the gate to continue. He is defeated but not confirmed killed.

Jidanbou Ikkanzaka, Hikonyuudou and Kaiwan are Danzoumaru’s fellow Seireitei gatekeepers.
