Yayoi Nakayama

Yayoi is practical and level-headed, particularly when compared with the impulsive riders she supports. Alongside Emily Adachi, she frequently admonishes Kogarasumaru's members when their behavior gets out of hand.

She is caring and attentive to injured riders, qualities that become increasingly important as her aptitude for tuning emerges. Yayoi's concern for Agito Wanijima is particularly strong, and she develops romantic feelings for him.

Her quieter demeanor does not prevent her from standing her ground. Once she becomes involved in Kogarasumaru's activities, she continues supporting the team despite the escalating danger surrounding its Parts Wars.

Yayoi possesses natural abilities strongly associated with an A-T Link Tuner. She can determine the exact time down to the second, an unusually precise internal sense of rhythm comparable to traits displayed by experienced Tool Toul To members.

She can also understand Kuu, Itsuki Minami's crow, translating his apparent speech for other characters. More importantly, Yayoi demonstrates an instinctive understanding of riders and Air Trecks despite lacking Kururu's formal position within Tool Toul To.

During Kogarasumaru's encounter with the original Sleeping Forest in Inorganic Net, Yayoi tunes Agito after he is injured and completes the Fang Regalia integrated into his Air Trecks. Her ability confirms Ine's earlier judgment that she possesses genuine tuner potential.

Yayoi begins as one of the Higashi Junior High students forced into harassing Ikki under the influence of Buccha's team. After Ikki's victory changes conditions at the school, she and Emily become regular members of the social circle surrounding Kogarasumaru.

Her importance grows as the technical demands placed on the team's riders increase. While Kururu Sumeragi becomes Ikki's tuner, Yayoi's affinity gradually aligns her with Agito.

Her successful work on Agito's equipment establishes her as his tuner, giving the Fang King a technical partner capable of adapting his Regalia to his unusual body and demanding Bloody Road techniques.

Emily Adachi is Yayoi's close friend and fellow member of the Higashi Junior High track team. They become Kogarasumaru supporters together and frequently provide a more grounded perspective on the team's behavior.

Agito Wanijima becomes the rider with whom Yayoi develops the closest technical and emotional bond. She has a crush on him and supports him when he is injured or exhausted. She eventually assumes the role of his tuner and completes the Fang Regalia integrated into his Air Trecks.

Ine Makigami recognizes Yayoi's potential as an A-T tuner and at one point assumes that she already fills that position for Kogarasumaru.

Itsuki Minami is initially a target of the harassment imposed at school but later becomes one of the riders Yayoi regularly supports.

Kururu Sumeragi represents the professional Tool Toul To side of the tuning discipline toward which Yayoi shows a natural affinity.
