Emily Adachi

Emily is energetic, outspoken and considerably less willing than Kogarasumaru's core members to indulge their foolish behavior. She and Yayoi regularly criticize the boys when their plans become ridiculous, even after becoming enthusiastic supporters of the team.

Her attraction to Kazu is obvious and intense. Rather than remaining a passive crush, it frequently becomes the source of extraordinary determination when he is threatened. The manga jokingly describes some of Emily's most extreme physical feats as the "Power of Love," but the underlying strength and athleticism are genuine.

Emily can also be fiercely competitive and stubborn. Once she begins taking Air Trecks seriously, she refuses to let her relative lack of technical experience prevent her from contributing alongside much stronger riders.

Emily begins with limited Air Treck skill and has no established Road comparable to Kogarasumaru's Kings. Her greatest assets are instead her natural athletic ability, strength and endurance developed through track training.

She is capable of unexpectedly powerful kicks, wrestling techniques and feats of durability. When emotionally motivated—particularly where Kazu is concerned—she can withstand punishment that appears disproportionate to her level of A-T experience.

Emily eventually becomes capable enough to substitute directly for members of Kogarasumaru during competition. Her role remains based more on physical resilience, determination and supporting the team than mastery of a specialized Road or Regalia.

Emily initially appears with Yayoi among the students caught up in Issa Mihotoke's control of Higashi Junior High. After Ikki challenges Buccha and changes the balance of power at the school, Emily's attitude toward Ikki's group changes substantially.

She becomes part of Kogarasumaru's extended support circle, attending its Parts Wars, helping with training and becoming increasingly involved in the team's activities. Her feelings for Kazu give her a personal stake in his development from Ikki's insecure childhood friend into a high-level Storm Rider.

Emily eventually becomes an official reserve member of Kogarasumaru and can enter competition when another rider is unavailable. During the White Wolf Clan conflict, she replaces Buccha after he is incapacitated and demonstrates that the team's supposedly ordinary supporters have developed alongside its principal riders.

Kazuma Mikura is Emily's principal romantic interest. She openly cares for him and repeatedly draws extraordinary motivation from protecting or supporting him. Their feelings eventually become mutual, and the manga's conclusion presents them as a couple.

Yayoi Nakayama is Emily's close friend and fellow track-team member. They are commonly seen together and become Kogarasumaru supporters at roughly the same stage of the story.

Itsuki Minami is initially someone Emily looks down on, but she comes to respect him after his confrontation with Buccha and subsequently supports his team.

Issa Mihotoke initially contributes to the hostile circumstances surrounding Emily and Yayoi at school. Emily later becomes sufficiently involved with Kogarasumaru to substitute for Buccha during a team battle.

Ringo Noyamano becomes another friend within the wider group surrounding Kogarasumaru.
