Personality
Personality
Agito is abrasive, violent and foul-mouthed, contrasting sharply with Akito's gentle and openly affectionate disposition. He approaches conflict with a predator's mentality and has little patience for riders he considers weak. His hostility is not mindless, however; in battle he is analytical, observant and capable of rapidly understanding an opponent's techniques.
He initially has difficulty relating to people outside the structures of control and violence that shaped his life. Kogarasumaru gradually gives him relationships based on being a teammate rather than an instrument. Even when his language remains hostile, his actions increasingly demonstrate investment in the team's survival and success.
Akito is pacifistic and emotionally expressive where Agito is combative. Their personalities can communicate internally, and the eyepatch becomes the most visible mechanism associated with which personality is controlling the body.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Agito is the Fang King and an elite rider of the Bloody Road. The Road creates its metaphorical path through injuries inflicted on opponents, emphasizing brutal close-range combat and cutting attacks. Agito supplements his Air Trecks with hooked straps that can slash, catch or restrain opponents.
The Bloody Road's signature Fang is produced through rapid acceleration and braking of the Air Treck wheels. The process compresses air and releases it as a powerful shock wave capable of cutting or smashing targets at range. Mastering the technique requires precise control because the force involved also places significant strain on the rider.
Agito possesses exceptional combat instincts and can reproduce or adapt techniques after observing them. His repertoire includes variants and applications of Fang attacks suited to different situations, making him dangerous even against riders familiar with the Bloody Road.
As his equipment and tuning improve, Agito develops the Bloody Blade Fang, an evolved application designed to compensate for limitations in his stamina. Later revelations also expose another personality, Lind, whose abilities and connection to the body's origins substantially expand the significance of Agito and Akito within the story.
Story Role
Story Role
Agito and Akito enter the story through the Windstorm G-Men, where Kaito exercises severe control over them. Their extraordinary abilities make them valuable as weapons against Storm Riders rather than allowing them to live as ordinary competitors.
Ikki's intervention breaks that arrangement and brings them into Kogarasumaru. Agito's arrival immediately changes the team's competitive potential: unlike its inexperienced founding members, the Fang King already possesses King-class battle experience and an established Road.
His presence also broadens the story's treatment of Air Treck competition. Through Agito, the series explores a rider whose abilities have been exploited institutionally rather than developed freely through Parts Wars. Kogarasumaru gives him an opportunity to decide how that strength will be used.
Later revelations concerning the origin of the personalities inhabiting the body, including Lind, connect Agito and Akito to the deeper experiments and engineered riders underlying the struggle over the Air Treck world.
Relationships
Relationships
Akito Wanijima shares the same body with Agito and represents a dramatically different temperament. Akito is gentle and pacifistic, while Agito takes responsibility for much of their fighting. Despite their differences, the two protect and support one another.
Itsuki Minami changes the direction of Agito's life by refusing to accept the way he and Akito are being used. After joining Kogarasumaru, Agito develops respect for Ikki as both a rider and leader even while retaining his abrasive manner toward him.
Kaito Wanijima controls Agito and Akito through the Windstorm G-Men before their association with Kogarasumaru. His treatment of them as instruments of enforcement is a major source of Agito's hostility and distrust.
Yayoi Nakayama becomes Agito's tuner, helping adapt his Air Trecks and Fang techniques to his physical requirements. Her tuning contributes to the development of techniques intended to reduce the weaknesses imposed by his limited stamina.
Kazuma Mikura fights beside Agito as Kogarasumaru develops into a high-level team. Their Roads can be combined offensively, with Kazu's flames augmenting Agito's Fang attacks.
Issa Mihotoke and Onigiri are fellow members of Kogarasumaru whose specialized styles complement Agito's direct combat ability.
