Spica Harvest

Spica is confident, image-conscious and skilled at presenting herself favorably to others. She accepts praise readily and maintains a cheerful demeanor around subordinates who admire her.

Her treatment of Kumugi is far less generous. Spica routinely belittles her sister's abilities while framing her own decisions as being made for Kumugi's benefit. She has used Kumugi's guilt to pressure her into carrying belongings, surrendering things she wants and accepting choices about her career.

Spica can also be shallow. Her negative expectations about Ichi change dramatically after she sees his appearance in person, revealing how quickly personal attraction can influence her attitude.

Spica's individual spells have not been fully established. Her Senior Witch Cadet Captain rank places her immediately below fully fledged witches and indicates substantial professional ability.

As Section 1 Chief of the Inspections Department, she specializes institutionally in evaluating personnel and matters requiring Mantinel oversight. Her analytical habits are visible in her willingness to investigate Ichi before committing herself to a fixed opinion about him.

Spica first appears through Kumugi's memories, where her treatment of her younger sister helps explain Kumugi's severe lack of confidence. She enters the present story during preparations for Ichi's public debut.

Spica attempts to position herself as a better candidate for Team Desscaras and pressures Kumugi to step aside. The confrontation forces Kumugi to address years of manipulation rather than automatically complying with her sister.

Kumugi reveals that the childhood injury Spica has repeatedly used to reinforce her guilt was medically repaired; Spica continues wearing the eyepatch because she thinks it looks good. Kumugi's refusal to keep serving as her sister's "stepping stone" marks a major change in their relationship.

Kumugi Harvest is Spica's younger sister. Their relationship is defined by Spica's tendency to demean Kumugi while benefiting from her guilt and compliance.

Ichi initially interests Spica as an unprecedented subject for inspection. Her attitude toward him becomes much more favorable after meeting him.
