Romero Fujimi

Romero is abrasive, condescending, reckless, and proud of both his school and his Quirk.

He tells his Isami classmates not to become overly friendly with U.A. students and quickly develops an antagonistic relationship with Katsuki.

His confidence sometimes becomes carelessness. Romero releases Zombie Virus despite knowing his own classmates are within the affected area, apparently trusting his equipment and ability to keep the situation under control.

Dadan Tadan nevertheless insists that Romero is not genuinely bad-hearted, suggesting that his rudeness is closer to competitive arrogance than malicious intent.

Zombie Virus allows Romero to release a gas that infects people who inhale it.

Affected individuals enter a zombie-like state characterized by aggressive behavior, increased persistence, and a tendency to spread the condition by biting others.

Importantly, zombified victims retain access to their Quirks, making infection especially dangerous among Hero Course students.

Romero's costume includes breathing protection designed to prevent him from inhaling his own gas.

The Quirk can easily become indiscriminate, as demonstrated when Romero's own classmates and eventually Romero himself are infected during the training exercise.

Romero visits U.A. with Isami Academy classmates for the Survival Training exercise depicted in Training of the Dead.

He immediately antagonizes Class 1-A and enters the exercise determined to prove that U.A.'s reputation is exaggerated.

When the competition turns against his team, Romero releases Zombie Virus and rapidly transforms the exercise into an uncontrolled outbreak.

Large numbers of students become infected, forcing former opponents to abandon the original contest and focus on surviving the spreading condition.

Romero eventually becomes infected himself after lowering his guard, turning the creator of the crisis into another zombie.

Katsuki Bakugou becomes Romero's principal rival during the training exercise because the two possess similarly abrasive personalities.

Dadan Tadan is Romero's classmate and defends him as fundamentally decent despite his unpleasant behavior.

Kashiko Sekigai and Habuko Mongoose are fellow Isami Academy students affected by the chaos created through Zombie Virus.

Tsuyu Asui becomes involved in the outbreak because of her friendship with Habuko.
