Dadan is meek, nervous, polite, and noticeably less aggressive than Romero Fujimi.
He apologizes to Class 1-A for Romero's behavior and appears embarrassed by the hostility developing between his classmate and Katsuki Bakugou.
Dadan openly admits that he does not enjoy fighting. Even so, he accepts that hero training requires him to act when teammates need support and participates fully in Isami's strategy.
His temperament makes him one of the clearest contrasts within the visiting team: his equipment is visually heavy and weapon-like, but the person wearing it is one of the least combative students present.

Flash Bang Sweat causes Dadan to produce sweat that releases an intense flash of light and loud sound when struck or detonated.
His hero costume converts this substance into ranged ammunition.
The mechanized suit contains multiple launch points capable of firing salvos over a broad area, allowing Dadan to saturate terrain with flash-bang effects rather than needing precise direct hits.
The resulting light and noise can disorient opponents, interrupt coordination, and expose hidden groups without relying on lethal explosive force.

Dadan appears during the Training of the Dead OVA as part of Isami Academy's visiting Hero Course team.
During the Survival Training exercise, he launches a broad opening barrage to disrupt Class 1-A and give his teammates opportunities to locate survivors.
The U.A. students avoid much of the effect by using Quirks and cover, forcing Isami to continue searching for them.
The exercise subsequently descends into chaos when Romero releases Zombie Virus and infects students from both schools.
Dadan is eventually caught in the outbreak along with his teammates.
