Personality
Personality
Reirei is completely devoted to Kouha and shares the unusual behavior displayed by his other two assistants, including asking to receive the same rough treatment he gives Junjun. She is nevertheless capable of speaking pragmatically to him; when Junjun warns Kouha about attracting attention during their journey, Reirei immediately recognizes that warning him is unlikely to accomplish anything.
Like Junjun, Reirei is insecure about the physical alterations caused by the experiments that made her an artificial magician. Supplementary material indicates that she does not expect to establish a conventional family because of those changes.
She also proves observant during the Magnostadt crisis. When Aladdin's behavior changes, Reirei notices the unusual movement of the Rukh around him and recognizes that the phenomenon is associated with a Magi.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Reirei is an artificial magician who uses magic tools. The experiments that produced her magical abilities altered her body, although canon provides little technical explanation of the procedure itself.
Her established specialty is Strength Magic. Together with Junjun and Jinjin, she channels the seventh type of magic into Kouha's Metal Vessel when his own Magoi has been exhausted. The technique allows the assistants to provide direct magical support to their prince in combat.
Her ability to observe the Rukh is also demonstrated when Aladdin summons the Djinn at Magnostadt and she recognizes the extraordinary flow of Magoi toward him.
Story Role
Story Role
Reirei was one of three women subjected to experiments intended to create artificial magicians. After the project was judged a failure, their changed bodies caused them to be discarded. Kouha found the three and recruited them, establishing the loyalty that later defines their service.
She accompanies Kouha and Aladdin toward Magnostadt and remains in the country with the other assistants when Kouha temporarily returns home. The three gather intelligence for him, which he later praises when Kou's forces approach Magnostadt.
During the Black Djinn attack, Reirei supports Kouha after his Metal Vessel drains his Magoi. She remains beside him after Kouen Ren arrives and is visibly relieved when Kouen uses Phenex's power to treat Kouha's injuries.
Relationships
Relationships
Kouha Ren is Reirei's rescuer, commander and chosen king. His acceptance of her after she was discarded produces complete personal loyalty.
Junjun and Jinjin are Reirei's fellow artificial magicians and closest companions. They share the same experimental background and serve Kouha together.
Meihou Kan belongs to the same military following and shares Reirei's belief in Kouha as their king.
Aladdin travels with Reirei on the road to Magnostadt. She later recognizes the change in the Rukh surrounding him and realizes that the phenomenon confirms his nature as a Magi.
