Namanie Nienami

Nienami is impulsive, violent and contrarian. She can respond to trivial irritation with immediate aggression and treats dangerous confrontations with an enthusiasm that makes her difficult to predict.

She openly describes herself as half-baked because she lacks a single precious ideal around which to organize her life. This allows her to become interested in another person's cause without feeling obligated to remain committed to it indefinitely.

Despite that unreliability, Nienami can be surprisingly helpful. Once somebody catches her interest, she is willing to explain unfamiliar Styles, lend assistance and even entrust others with techniques they need to survive.

Nienami is an exceptional swordswoman who uses Inkendo Mugenbai and conceals seven swords on her body. Her swordsmanship allows her to attack multiple targets and makes her dangerous even before her language-based Style is considered.

Contradictory Conjunction User is a Style centered on paradoxical connections, particularly "therefore." It can make an otherwise impossible result possible by materializing the least likely outcome of a situation. This allows a seemingly disadvantaged fighter to create a path toward victory precisely because victory should be impossible.

The combination of advanced swordsmanship and a Style that exploits contradiction makes Nienami especially dangerous to opponents who rely on straightforward comparisons of strength.

Nienami initially appears among the six suitors involved in the Jet Black Wedding Feast. She soon encounters Zenkichi Hitoyoshi's Student Council and demonstrates the threat posed by the families participating in the marriage competition.

Unlike several other suitors, she remains around Hakoniwa Academy after that conflict. Her lack of fixed allegiance allows her to become an irregular ally when the struggle surrounding the Shiranui Village and Iihiko begins.

During the final confrontation with Iihiko, Nienami transfers her Contradictory Conjunction Style to Zenkichi. The Style's ability to create an impossible outcome becomes crucial because conventional attacks cannot properly reach Iihiko.

Zenkichi Hitoyoshi first confronts Nienami as an enemy during the Jet Black Wedding Feast. Nienami later entrusts her Contradictory Conjunction Style to Zenkichi so that he can fight Iihiko.

Kudaki Torai surprises Nienami with a powerful martial-arts attack during her confrontation with Zenkichi's Student Council.

Medaka Kurokami is the intended bride for whom Nienami enters the Jet Black Wedding Feast, though Nienami's later actions are not defined by a continuing desire to marry her.

Joutou Kotobuki is a fellow suitor whose Nursery Rhyme Style Nienami recognizes and explains to the others.

Iihiko Shishime becomes the enemy against whom Nienami's Style is most consequential. She gives the Style to Zenkichi because its paradoxical nature offers a route to an otherwise impossible victory.

Sakugo Nienami is Nienami's relative and the Shiranui Household double assigned to represent her during the deception surrounding the suitors.
