Motoko Minagawa

皆川素子

Story Role

Motoko initially appears as one of the most visible examples of Yuki's unwanted idolization at school. Her fan club treats him as a distant ideal and aggressively monitors girls around him, illustrating why popularity does not provide the ordinary companionship he wants.

She receives greater focus as graduation approaches. Away from the collective behavior of the fan club, Motoko must consider what her feelings for Yuki actually mean and what she wants to say before leaving school.

Motoko eventually confesses that she loves Yuki while acknowledging that she does not expect him to return those feelings. She is able to leave school wishing sincerely for his future happiness rather than trying to possess him.
