Minami Kinoshita

Minami is excitable, possessive and intensely protective of the idealized version of Yuki maintained by his fan club. She readily interprets ordinary interactions between Yuki and other girls as threats and participates enthusiastically in attempts to keep potential romantic rivals away.

She is particularly similar to Motoko in her devotion to Yuki, which helps explain why she serves as the club's vice president and succeeds to a leadership role when necessary. Minami is more comfortable acting as part of the group than approaching Yuki herself.

Her confidence also has limits. Hanajima's unnerving manner and supposed "waves" frighten Minami and the other club members enough that attempts to investigate or intimidate her frequently end with the fan club retreating.

Minami has no supernatural abilities. Her influence comes primarily through her position in the Prince Yuki Fan Club, where she helps organize its members and enforce its rules.

She is assertive enough to lead the group in Motoko's absence and participates in its plans against girls perceived as being close to Yuki. These schemes are generally social rather than genuinely dangerous and tend to fail when confronted by Tooru's friends.

Minami also performs in the school's Cinderella production, taking the role of the wicked stepmother after the production is reworked into the unconventional Cinderella-ish.

Minami appears early among the students whose idolization of Yuki demonstrates how isolated his popularity actually makes him. Rather than approaching him as an ordinary classmate, the fan club surrounds him with rules and competition that reinforce his "Prince" image.

She repeatedly appears in school-centered comedy involving Tooru and Hanajima. Later, Minami and other fan-club members attempt to manipulate casting for the class play so that Tooru will appear unpleasant in front of Yuki, only for the production itself to depart dramatically from their original plan.

Yuki Souma is the object of Minami's intense admiration and the reason for her involvement in the Prince Yuki Fan Club.

Motoko Minagawa is Minami's friend, club president and fellow admirer of Yuki. Minami frequently assumes leadership when Motoko Minagawa is unavailable.

Tooru Honda is viewed by Minami as a romantic threat because of her closeness to Yuki.

Saki Hanajima frightens Minami and repeatedly interferes with the fan club's attempts to target Tooru.

Mio Yamagishi is another fan-club member with whom Minami sometimes squabbles.
