Miranda Lotto

Miranda is anxious, pessimistic and painfully lacking in self-confidence. Years of being fired and blamed for mistakes leave her convinced that she is useless, and even simple social situations can send her into spirals of apology.

She is nevertheless deeply compassionate and remarkably persistent once someone depends on her. Being thanked for helping others has enormous emotional significance because it contradicts the identity she has built around constant failure.

Becoming an Exorcist does not instantly erase her anxiety. Miranda remains nervous and prone to imagining the worst, but she repeatedly works through that fear when her companions need Time Record.

Miranda's equipment-type Innocence is Time Record. It initially resides in an antique clock before being converted into an Anti-Akuma weapon worn on her right arm.

Time Record creates a controlled temporal area within which Miranda can restore damaged people and objects to an earlier physical condition. Injuries sustained within the field can therefore appear healed while the technique remains active.

The effect does not truly erase events. Once Miranda releases Time Record, accumulated injuries and damage return. It cannot genuinely resurrect the dead, and maintaining a large field for extended periods places severe strain on Miranda.

Her ability is therefore exceptionally valuable for keeping wounded allies functioning during a battle, but it carries a painful limitation: Miranda may know that injuries she is suppressing will return the moment she can no longer maintain the field.

Miranda first encounters Allen Walker and Lenalee Lee in Rewinding Town. Her unconscious synchronization with Innocence has trapped the town in a repeating day, and Road Kamelot arrives after recognizing the presence of Innocence.

After Allen and Lenalee help resolve the incident, Miranda discovers that the people of the town remember none of the repeated days. She nevertheless takes their gratitude seriously and chooses to join the Black Order.

During the voyage toward Japan, Miranda's Time Record becomes essential after the Exorcists and Anita's crew suffer catastrophic injuries. Miranda keeps the damaged ship and poisoned crew temporarily restored long enough for the surviving Exorcists to continue, but when she finally releases Time Record, the accumulated damage returns and the mortally wounded crew members die.

Allen Walker is one of the first people to convince Miranda that she can help others. His gratitude during the Rewinding Town incident contributes directly to her decision to change her life.

Lenalee Lee befriends Miranda during the same mission and encourages her rather than treating her as the failure Miranda believes herself to be.

Noise Marie becomes a fellow Exorcist for whom Miranda shows particular concern, with supplementary material and comedic interactions suggesting mutual affection.

Road Kamelot attacks Miranda's town while seeking the Innocence responsible for its temporal anomaly.

Anita and her crew depend on Miranda's Time Record after the battle at sea. Miranda's inability to permanently erase their wounds makes their final moments especially painful for her.
