Noise Marie

Marie is quiet, patient and compassionate. He rarely reacts to provocation and is one of the few people capable of dealing naturally with Yu Kanda's abrasive personality.

His blindness has made hearing central to how he experiences the world, but Marie does not treat his disability as a weakness. His composure and careful attention to sound make him particularly perceptive about people around him.

He is also gentle toward Miranda Lotto, and supplementary material plays their mutual awkwardness for comedy while suggesting affection between them.

Marie's equipment-type Innocence is Noel Organon. It manifests through wires extending from his hands and works in combination with his exceptionally sensitive hearing.

The wires can surround and restrain enemies. By conducting sound through them, Marie produces a destructive melody capable of paralyzing Akuma and attacking them internally.

His enhanced hearing allows him to locate distant or quiet sounds that others cannot detect. He wears specialized headphones to regulate the overwhelming amount of auditory information he receives.

Marie travels with Yu Kanda and Daisya Barry as part of the team assigned to protect and locate General Froi Tiedoll after the Noah begin targeting Generals.

He later returns to headquarters and remains one of Tiedoll's active Exorcists through subsequent conflicts.

Marie's history becomes important during the revelation of Kanda's past. Years earlier, Marie was critically injured at the Asian Branch, and Kanda's regenerative blood accidentally healed part of the damage before Kanda helped him escape the facility. This explains the unusually deep trust Marie places in him.

Yu Kanda is one of Marie's oldest and closest companions. Marie understands Kanda better than most people and frequently acts as a calming presence around him. Their bond reaches back to the Asian Branch, where Kanda helped the badly injured Marie escape.

Froi Tiedoll is Marie's General and mentor. Marie accompanies him during missions and serves as one of his dependable senior disciples.

Daisya Barry is Marie's fellow member of Tiedoll's unit. Daisya's death during Tyki Mikk's attacks on Exorcists deeply affects the remaining team.

Miranda Lotto receives noticeably gentle attention from Marie, and supplementary scenes suggest mutual romantic interest.
