Personality
Personality
Majikaja is friendly, curious and highly enthusiastic about value. They readily attach themself to Riko's group and explain Iruburu's customs without demanding much in return.
Kaja is fascinated by bodies because their own form is a constructed vessel. Smells, textures and physical characteristics interest them intensely, particularly Nanachi's body and Reg's apparently invaluable artificial form.
Despite understanding Iruburu's transactional culture extremely well, Majikaja is capable of genuine friendship. They repeatedly help Riko navigate dangerous situations and do more than a purely self-interested trader would require.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Majikaja's visible body is a constructed vessel animated by their true essence. Its mechanical-looking structure gives them a distinctive form compared with the organic bodies of many other Narehate.
Iruburu's value system allows Kaja to obtain alternative bodies by paying the necessary price. Different vessels can provide different physical capabilities.
Kaja also possesses extensive knowledge of Iruburu's economy, inhabitants and customs. For Riko's group, this knowledge is often more useful than direct combat power.
Story Role
Story Role
Majikaja encounters the travelers soon after they enter Iruburu and becomes their principal guide. Through Kaja, Riko learns that nearly everything in the village possesses measurable value and that taking or damaging something without payment triggers the Balancing.
Kaja introduces important figures and locations throughout the village and explains Faputa's position as the Princess of the Narehate and embodiment of value.
When Iruburu's barrier begins collapsing, Majikaja helps Riko survive the resulting chaos. Like the other villagers, Kaja cannot continue existing outside the village that created their Narehate form.
