Kyungseo Park

Park receives little individual characterization outside his team's national-championship appearance. He participates in Chiba International's coordinated attempt to confuse Mizusawa before the match begins.

Once the tactic is exposed, he is presented primarily as a serious school competitor rather than through an independent personal storyline.

Park is a competitive karuta player capable of representing his school at the national high-school championship.

He faces Taichi Mashima during the team match with Mizusawa. No individual class rank, signature technique or unusual sensory ability is established for him.

Park appears during Mizusawa's group-stage competition at Omi Jingu. Chiba International initially catches the team off guard by speaking English, but Taichi recognizes that the behavior is intended to create psychological uncertainty.

Park then plays Taichi on one of the five boards. Mizusawa wins the overall encounter, and Chiba International does not become one of its recurring rivals.

Taichi Mashima is Park's opponent during Chiba International's national-championship match against Mizusawa.

Matt Rowan, Anthony Sorb, Rachel Port and Napa Payakaroon compete alongside Park as members of Chiba International's team.
