Kosugi

Kosugi is kind, composed and strongly committed to Scar Chain. He behaves professionally even while serving drinks inside a prison resistance hideout and treats newcomers without the hostility common elsewhere in Deadman Wonderland.

He is also prepared to risk himself for the group's objective. When the breakout begins to fail, Kosugi prioritizes getting Scar Chain's evidence to the surface over his own safety.

Kosugi is a Deadman capable of manipulating blood outside his body, but his individualized Branch of Sin is never demonstrated.

He can fight using conventional weapons. In the manga he uses a sharpened metal bar against an Undertaker; the anime instead gives him a prosthetic right arm with a concealed knife.

Kosugi is introduced at Scar Chain's hideout, where he works behind the bar and prepares a snack for Shiro. He attends Nagi and Karako Koshio's presentation of the planned escape.

During the breakout, Kosugi joins the first group attempting to reach the elevator and eventually pulls Ganta Igarashi aside to entrust him with the data chip Scar Chain hopes to carry outside.

An Undertaker attacks as Kosugi hands over the chip. Kosugi fights back and kills his attacker but receives a fatal wound himself, using his final moments to remind Ganta that the evidence represents Scar Chain's hope.

Nagi Kengamine leads the Scar Chain resistance to which Kosugi belongs.

Karako Koshio helps organize the escape Kosugi supports.

Shiro meets Kosugi at the Scar Chain hideout, where he prepares food for her.

Ganta Igarashi receives Scar Chain's data chip from Kosugi during Kosugi's final confrontation with an Undertaker.
