Personality
Yeegar is strict, courteous and compassionate. He expects proper manners from younger people but does not use his seniority as an excuse for cruelty. His reputation among the Order's personnel is that of a demanding but fundamentally kind teacher.
The anime expands this side of him considerably, showing his fondness for cooking and his disappointment when he cannot arrive quickly enough to prevent casualties during a mission.

Yeegar is an Exorcist General and therefore possesses synchronization with Innocence high enough to qualify for one of the Black Order's most powerful combat ranks.
His equipment-type Innocence takes the form of chains that can be manipulated across considerable distances. The chains can bind and attack targets, allowing Yeegar to control multiple opponents or areas of the battlefield.
His age does not prevent him from serving actively in the field, reflecting decades of combat experience and mastery of his Anti-Akuma weapon.

Yeegar is introduced as one of the five Generals scattered around the world searching for Innocence and potential Accommodators. The Noah Family begins targeting those Generals because one of them might possess the Heart.
Tyki Mikk is sent after Yeegar as part of that campaign. Tyki defeats and tortures Yeegar after determining that his Innocence is not the Heart. The attack leaves Yeegar mentally shattered, repeatedly speaking about the Heart before he dies from his injuries.
Yeegar's death prompts the Black Order to order the remaining Generals back to headquarters and assign Exorcists to protect them, escalating the conflict between the Order and the Noah Family.
