Personality
Personality
Tyki is defined by the pleasure he takes in maintaining two contrasting identities. Among his human companions, he is relaxed, playful and willing to work for little money before gambling it away. He values these relationships precisely because they let him experience an ordinary human existence.
His Noah side is far more sadistic. Tyki can kill with casual amusement and enjoys frightening opponents with an ability that bypasses ordinary defenses. Yet he does not want his darker identity to consume his human life; the coexistence of both is what he finds pleasurable.
His interactions with Allen Walker gradually become unusually personal. Allen challenges both Tyki's abilities and his assumptions about the boundary between human and Noah.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Tyki embodies the Pleasure of Noah. His primary ability allows him to "choose" what he touches. He can reject solid matter and pass through walls, weapons and human bodies while selectively interacting with a specific object inside them. This lets him remove or crush organs without producing an ordinary external wound.
The same principle allows Tyki to walk on air and avoid many physical attacks. He also commands Teez, man-eating butterfly-like golems used for tracking, communication and killing targets from inside their bodies.
Tyki is an accomplished hand-to-hand combatant with the enhanced physical abilities associated with Noah. His Dark Matter can oppose Innocence directly, although sufficiently powerful Innocence remains dangerous to him.
After Allen forcibly attempts to exorcise the Noah within him, Tyki's Noah memory erupts in a monstrous form. His subsequent abilities and appearance reflect the increasingly unstable relationship between Tyki's human personality and Joyd.
Story Role
Story Role
Tyki first enters the conflict while travelling with ordinary human friends, keeping his Noah identity separate from them. The Millennium Earl gives him a list of targets associated with the Black Order, turning Tyki into one of the Noah Family's most effective Exorcist hunters.
His targets eventually include Allen Walker. Tyki uses his ability to remove Allen's heart and destroys the Innocence in his left arm, leaving him apparently finished. Allen survives and later rebuilds his relationship with Innocence, setting up their rematch inside Noah's Ark.
Allen's Crown Clown allows him to overcome Tyki's selective intangibility, and the Sword of Exorcism attacks the Noah within him rather than simply cutting his human body. Instead of eliminating Joyd, the attack contributes to Tyki's Noah memory erupting violently.
Tyki remains one of the central Noah throughout the later conflict. His resemblance to Nea D. Campbell becomes increasingly conspicuous, adding another unresolved element to the mysteries surrounding the Campbell family and the Noah's reincarnations.
Relationships
Relationships
The Millennium Earl treats Tyki as part of the Noah Family and entrusts him with eliminating people connected to the Black Order.
Allen Walker becomes Tyki's most significant Exorcist opponent. Tyki nearly kills Allen by removing his heart and destroying his Innocence, while their later rematch causes Tyki's Noah memory to erupt after Allen strikes him with the Sword of Exorcism.
Road Kamelot is Tyki's adopted niece within the Kamelot family and a fellow Noah. They share a comparatively familiar relationship within the Noah Family.
Sheril Kamelot is Tyki's older brother and another member of the Noah Family.
Eaze, Momo and Clark are among the ordinary humans with whom Tyki spends his "white" life. He values their companionship and deliberately conceals his Noah identity from them.
