Personality
Personality
The Egg is lonely, fatalistic and desperate for meaning. Having spent his human life excluded from society, he develops a detached fascination with the people living above him.
His wish for a perfect world grows from profound alienation rather than ordinary ambition. He does not seek wealth or personal status; he wants his otherwise unnoticed existence to contribute to a transformation larger than himself.
Despite participating in horrifying events, the Egg retains traces of compassion. His conversation with Luca reveals his desire for at least one person to know that he existed.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
The Egg is an exceptionally unusual Apostle whose body resembles a gigantic living behelit. He can move across walls and structures with supernatural ease while remaining largely hidden from ordinary people.
He can transform selected humans into pseudo-Apostles by producing stinger-like growths from his body. Mozgus and his disciples receive altered supernatural forms through this process.
His body also functions as the central vessel of Albion's Incarnation Ceremony, giving his existence a purpose different from conventional Apostles.
Story Role
Story Role
Before becoming an Apostle, the nameless outcast lives beneath Albion and digs a pit to hide himself. Refugees eventually begin throwing corpses into the pit until he is buried beneath the dead.
His behelit activates, and he offers both himself and the world around him as a sacrifice, becoming the Egg of the Perfect World. He then prepares Albion for an Incarnation Ceremony intended to give Griffith a physical body.
The Egg transforms Mozgus and his torturers into pseudo-Apostles and later finds the dying Demon Child. Out of pity, he consumes the child, unintentionally incorporating it into the vessel being prepared for Griffith.
At the climax of the ceremony, the Egg completes his purpose by hatching Griffith into the physical world, with his own existence consumed in the process.
