Iwamatsu Oki

Oki is assertive and accustomed to using the privileges attached to his political position. He insists on staying in the unfinished Twin Towers even though the complex has not yet officially opened.

He drinks heavily and is sufficiently familiar with the Tokiwa Group leadership to receive access unavailable to ordinary visitors.

Oki has no combat or supernatural abilities. His influence is political, stemming from his position on the Nishitama city council and his involvement in local development decisions.

His support is instrumental in allowing the Twin Towers project to proceed despite planning restrictions affecting the area.

Oki is introduced during Conan's tour of the Twin Towers alongside Mio Tokiwa, Hosui Kisaragi, and Hidehiko Kazama. He announces his intention to stay overnight in a suite within the complex.

Oki is found stabbed to death in his suite the following morning. A broken sake cup left nearby becomes the first recurring clue in the murder investigation.

Kisaragi is eventually exposed as Oki's murderer. Oki's role in facilitating construction of the towers made him one of the people Kisaragi blamed for destroying the uninterrupted view of Mount Fuji from his home.

Mio Tokiwa knows Oki through his political involvement with the Twin Towers project.

Hosui Kisaragi murders Oki because of his role in allowing construction of the towers that obstruct Kisaragi's view of Mount Fuji.

Hidehiko Kazama designed the development Oki helped facilitate politically.

Conan Edogawa investigates Oki's murder and eventually identifies the meaning behind the evidence associated with the crime.
