Itami Koga

Koga is cheerful, energetic and remarkably upbeat even during dangerous fights. She smiles and laughs readily, giving her a much warmer demeanor than the threatening appearance of Naze's laboratory might suggest.

Her strongest attachment is to Naze, whom she openly regards as her best friend. Koga is intensely loyal and protective, becoming angry when other people mistreat Naze and jealous when she thinks someone else is taking too much of her friend's attention.

Koga can also become serious when circumstances require it. She is willing to question allies when their resolve falters rather than simply following the mood around her.

Naze remodels Koga's body into an extraordinarily powerful cybernetic form. The modifications grant her superhuman strength, speed, flexibility and rapid recovery, making her one of the strongest physical fighters in Class 13.

Her body can bend in ways normal human anatomy cannot tolerate, and injuries such as broken bones heal with extraordinary speed. The modifications preserve and even heighten her ability to feel pain rather than eliminating it; pain helps her monitor the strain being placed on her enhanced body.

Her greatest limitation is energy consumption. Her artificial muscles consume enormous amounts of energy at full output, restricting her maximum-speed activity to roughly three minutes. She can replenish herself with energy drinks after severe exertion.

Koga is introduced within the Flask Plan's underground facility as Naze's closest companion and one of the Thirteen Party's strongest combatants. Her cheerful personality initially contrasts with the dangerous experiments surrounding her.

She fights members of Medaka's Student Council as they move through the facility, demonstrating the extent to which Naze's Remodeling can transform a Normal human body.

Koga's origin becomes especially significant because she deliberately chose to abandon her original normality. Rather than being born Abnormal, she asked Naze to remake her because she found being completely average unbearable.

After the Flask Plan conflict, Koga remains close to Naze and becomes an ally of Medaka's group rather than continuing as an antagonist.

Youka Naze is Koga's closest friend and the person who remodels her body. Koga is fiercely protective of Youka Naze and considers their friendship central to her life.

Maguro Kurokami repeatedly irritates Koga through his behavior toward Naze. She is openly hostile toward Maguro Kurokami when she believes he is harassing her friend.

Kouki Akune fights Koga during the Student Council's investigation of the Flask Plan, testing his ability to imitate techniques against her remodeled body.

Medaka Kurokami initially encounters Koga as a member of the Thirteen Party. Koga later becomes one of Medaka's allies after the Flask Plan conflict.
