Hibana Daida

Hibana is obsessively polite and insists upon proper behavior, refined speech and academic achievement. She refers to herself as a lady and becomes furious when other people violate the standards she believes a good person should meet.

Her concept of punishment was shaped by her mother's abuse. Minor childhood mistakes such as bed-wetting were met with torture, and Hibana eventually internalized the idea that suffering was a necessary response to wrongdoing.

Despite her cruelty, she is still psychologically a child. Confronted with violence that overwhelms even her expectations, her confidence can collapse into fear and a desire to escape.

Hibana possesses extraordinary strength for her age. She can wield her enormous segmented blade one-handed and move it rapidly enough to mutilate adult opponents.

The weapon separates into connected sections, functioning as both a sword and a flexible long-range weapon. Worm Eater technology is embedded in it, allowing strikes to nullify a Deadman's Branch of Sin.

Her durability is also unusually high, reflecting both Undertaker conditioning and the extreme physical abuse she survived during childhood.

Hibana confronts Nagi Kengamine and Bundō Rokuro when they attempt to activate the elevator during Scar Chain's escape operation. Her Worm Eater immediately demonstrates why the Undertakers are so dangerous to Deadmen.

Rokuro reveals himself as an Undertaker informant during the confrontation. Hibana severs Nagi's arm, but Nagi eventually defeats her despite the advantage provided by Worm Eater.

She later participates when Genkaku Azuma holds Nagi. After fleeing Genkaku's rampage, Hibana encounters the body occupied by Hagire and attacks him. Hagire kills her almost effortlessly while testing the capabilities of his new host.

Nagi Kengamine is Hibana's principal opponent during Scar Chain's escape attempt and defeats her despite losing an arm.

Bundō Rokuro works secretly with the Undertakers and assists the trap prepared for Nagi.

Genkaku Azuma is the leader of the Undertakers and Hibana's superior.

Shiro is attacked by Hibana during the confrontation surrounding Nagi.

Rinichirou Hagire encounters Hibana while occupying another body and kills her when she attacks him.
