Garcia Lovelace

Garcia is polite, intelligent and mature beyond what his age initially suggests. Even while kidnapped and surrounded by armed criminals, he retains the manners expected of his upbringing and attempts to understand the people around him rather than responding only with panic.

He possesses a strong moral center and refuses to view Roberta simply as a weapon. Garcia knows that she has a violent past but values the person she became within the Lovelace household, making him determined to preserve that part of her identity.

His later experiences make him considerably more resolute. Garcia remains compassionate, but he becomes willing to make painful decisions and place himself in danger when doing so offers a chance to reach someone he loves.

Garcia has no specialized combat abilities and is physically an ordinary child. His strengths are intelligence, composure and an ability to make decisions under circumstances that would overwhelm many adults.

His position as the Lovelace heir also gives him authority within the household. He treats that authority as a responsibility rather than an excuse to command Roberta and Fabiola Iglesias without regard for their welfare.

During his later return to Roanapur, Garcia demonstrates increased emotional resilience. He can negotiate with criminals and mercenaries despite understanding how dangerous they are, relying on judgment rather than physical force.

Garcia first enters the story when the Manisarera Cartel kidnaps him and uses the Lagoon Company to transport him. Rock discovers that their supposed cargo is a child, while Roberta independently follows the kidnappers to Roanapur.

The search for Garcia triggers Roberta's first major confrontation with Roanapur's criminal population. Hotel Moscow eventually helps bring the incident to an end, allowing Garcia and Roberta to leave the city together.

Garcia later returns accompanied by Fabiola when Roberta disappears during another crisis. He asks Rock and the Lagoon Company for help locating her, placing the young heir back among many of the same criminals involved in his earlier kidnapping.

Garcia's return follows the assassination of his father, Diego Lovelace, an event that sends Roberta into a revenge-driven pursuit of the people she believes responsible. Garcia ultimately chooses to confront Roberta himself, using their bond rather than force to try to bring her back from the path she has taken.

Roberta Cisneros is Garcia's maid, protector and one of the people he considers family. Garcia Lovelace trusts Roberta Cisneros deeply and refuses to reduce her to the violent identity she possessed before entering the Lovelace household.

Fabiola Iglesias accompanies Garcia back to Roanapur and serves the Lovelace household alongside Roberta. Garcia Lovelace treats Fabiola Iglesias as family rather than merely as a servant.

Rokuro Okajima first meets Garcia while the Lagoon Company is transporting him as kidnapped cargo. Later, Garcia Lovelace asks Rokuro Okajima to help find Roberta, relying on his knowledge of Roanapur and talent for planning.

Revy is initially one of Garcia's captors as a member of the Lagoon Company. Their paths cross again when Revy becomes involved in the search for Roberta.
