Buchi

Buchi is aggressive, boastful and easily intimidated by stronger authority. He enjoys attacking an apparently disadvantaged opponent but becomes terrified when Kuro demands immediate victory.

He resents Sham’s attempts to shift blame onto him, yet the two remain accustomed to working as a pair. Their bickering does not prevent them from coordinating attacks.

Buchi’s loyalty to the Black Cat Pirates rests largely on fear and habit. He follows Jango’s commands and Kuro’s plan without showing an independent investment in the inheritance scheme.

Buchi wears clawed gloves and uses his body weight as a weapon. Cat the Funjack sends him leaping high into the air before crashing down with enough force to create a crater.

Despite his heavy build, Buchi can jump and maneuver rapidly. His partnership with Sham combines these powerful descending attacks with faster slashes and feints.

Jango’s hypnotism greatly increases Buchi’s strength after Zoro initially defeats him. In that state, he can damage the ground and continue fighting despite earlier injuries.

Buchi and Sham share a combined bounty of 7,000,000 berries. Buchi has no confirmed Devil Fruit or Haki.

Buchi joins the Black Cat Pirates’ attack on Syrup Village as one of its strongest frontline fighters. He and Sham confront Zoro while the rest of the crew attempts to cross the slope.

The pair gain an advantage after Sham steals two of Zoro’s swords. Once Nami returns them, Zoro defeats both brothers with Three-Sword Style.

Kuro threatens to kill the brothers if they cannot finish the battle quickly. Jango restores and strengthens Buchi through hypnosis, sending him back against the defenders.

Buchi is defeated again, this time by Luffy. He survives the arc, but canon does not reveal what happens to him after the Black Cat Pirates withdraw.

Sham is Buchi’s partner and fellow lookout. Together they form the Nyaban Brothers, combining Sham’s speed with Buchi’s weight.

Kuro is Buchi’s feared captain. Buchi’s urgency during the battle comes largely from Kuro’s threat to kill both brothers for failure.

Jango commands Buchi during the raid and uses hypnosis to restore his fighting strength.

Roronoa Zoro defeats Buchi during the brothers’ first assault. Monkey D. Luffy overpowers him after the hypnotic enhancement.
