Bob Morris

Bob is frightened, frustrated and outspoken about wanting to return home. His reaction to Gantz is considerably closer to that of an ordinary tourist suddenly trapped in a lethal situation than to the confidence displayed by veteran hunters.

He remains closely associated with the other American participants and generally moves with them rather than integrating into the Tokyo team.

His limited time in the story leaves little opportunity for deeper characterization beyond his fear, confusion and reliance on his companions.

Bob has no established supernatural abilities or significant combat training.

Although Gantz makes enhanced suits and advanced weapons available to the participants, Bob does not establish meaningful proficiency with them. His lack of preparation leaves him dependent on more capable hunters when the Dinosaur Aliens attack.

During the mission, he and the other Americans attempt to fight when confronted directly, but they are badly outmatched by the stronger targets.

Bob appears among the large group of new hunters assembled before the Dinosaur Alien mission. He enters alongside fellow Americans Nathan Rich, Sean Lewis and Michael Combs.

When Velociraptor Aliens attack the inexperienced participants, more capable fighters intervene to protect them. Bob later shelters while the experienced Tokyo hunters engage the larger dinosaurs.

Bob survives the principal alien hunt but is attacked during the hunters' transfer back to the Gantz room, becoming one of the victims of the Vampires who ambush the team after the mission.

Nathan Rich, Sean Lewis and Michael Combs are Bob's American companions in Japan and remain with him through much of the Dinosaur Alien mission.

Hiroto Sakurai, Kenzo Sakata and Daizaemon Kaze intervene when Bob and other inexperienced hunters are threatened by Velociraptor Aliens.

Kei Kurono and Yoshikazu Suzuki are among the experienced hunters whose fighting allows Bob's group to seek cover from the larger dinosaurs.
